Marcia and Ian Campbell Testimonial

Endless Summer wedding April 23rd 2005

Ian and I booked Endless Summer as the location for our wedding in April 2004.  Ian and I both live in England, but have close family members in Jamaica, so it was important to have our wedding in Jamaica.

We had done a lot of research on the Internet for wedding packages in Jamaica, but there was something plastic about the packages, there was not enough freedom for a control freak like me. I also did not want our wedding to be a public spectacle in a hotel foyer.

As soon as we came across Silver Sands website we knew we had found the right place. A beautiful resort, lots of accommodation for our guests, a secluded beach; the ideal location for the wedding. After reading all of the guests feedback we realised that we had to have our wedding there.

Immediately we booked Endless Summer and enlisted the help of Thelma Gray, Wedding Co-ordinator. She became my closet friend for the next 12 months.

I told her that we were planning a small wedding for 50 people. I gave her my very specific list of requirements, including our menu, a DJ, bar, marquee, bridal arch and bouquets for our big day. Thelma did not seem to think that what we were asking for would be difficult, her calm manner and attitude helped me over the next 12 months.

Our requirements did not change too much over the year, every now and again Thelma would suggest something to make our day perfect. It was so easy to arrange everything via emails. When I wanted more information about the photographer she put me in touch with other Brides who had recently got married and used the same one. Not only did they reassure me that their photo's were perfect, they also reassured me that the service they got from Thelma was excellent.

Our guest list grew to 85, again this was not problem for Thelma, but they had not had a such a large wedding in this Villa.

We got to Endless Summer on the Monday night and met with Thelma on the Tuesday. Thelma was a cool and calm as her email's portrayed. We agreed flower arrangements and our wedding cake (which Thelma made herself). On the Friday we had a rehearsal on the beach and met the Pastor who was conducting our ceremony. Everything was so calm, it meant I was able to really enjoy my first few days in Jamaica with my friends and family.  If there were any problems I was not made aware of them.

Our guests were arriving every day, many of the Villas were being occupied by our friends and family. We had 92 guests (25 from UK, 1 from 2 from USA, 1 from Canada and the rest native to Jamaica).

On the morning of the wedding Thelma orchestrated the whole affair, my bridal party enjoyed relaxing in the Villa while the marquees, bar, tables and chairs were arranged on the beach.

We had a beautiful wedding day thanks to Thelma her staff and the staff at Endless Summer. Even now people are still talking about what a wonderful day it was it was for them and their families.

I truly recommend inquiring about a wedding here before you decide to have a package wedding in a hotel full of people you don't know

Samuels/Campbell Guest letter April2005

We had booked Endless Summer in April 2004 for our Wedding which took place in April 2005.

We travelled nearly all day from England and arrived at Silver Sands at 11pm on the Monday night. We had no idea what the resort really looked like as it was dark; all we could hear were the crashing waves. All we had to go on were the pictures on the website.

There were 10 of us staying at Endless Summer, we located our rooms and went to bed. The next morning brought us all a sight to behold.

Ian and I woke early, and I mean early, to the sun rise visible through our windows and the Caribbean Sea on our doorstep!! In our PJ's we went out on to the beach where my brother and nieces were chasing waves also in their night clothes. By 6am everybody was up!!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

That morning we met most of the staff who helped enabled us to have the best holiday we have had. Without them we would not have managed to enjoy ourselves as much as we did.
Belvitt, Betty, Una and Marlene...
Not only did they help by cooking up to 5 different dishes at every meal time to cater for English, Jamaican, vegetarian and fussy children's tastes, they also helped us with keeping the house clean and tidy, which we would have struggled with with organising the wedding and receiving the many guests we had through out the week. We also went shopping ourselves and bought back various things that Una cooked for us. Belvitt was a star, he seemed to just be there whenever we needed help and advice.
We all felt that the staff became like our extended family. We got advice from them and they lent us an ear to bend. we love you all.

The whole Villa was beautiful, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi's, verandah's over-looking the Sea. Peace quiet and space. This was the most idealistic setting for the most important day of our life.

Our wedding guests had also taken over another 7 other Villas on the resort.

Prior to our wedding Angella and Custom Vacations were great in accommodating our ever changing needs, as well as arranging our day trips. We went snorkeling, to Dunn's River Falls, Ochi, as well as to the local towns and markets. The Karioke night has to be the funniest night, by the end of the night everybody was singing - Bob Marley would have been proud of us!!

Our Wedding Day was perfect, the sun was shining and everybody was happy. My flower girls looked fantastic, the guests were relaxed. The ceremony was beautiful, even I shed a tear. The music was great and the drinks were flowing.

Our holiday / wedding day was all my husband and I could ever have dreamed of. Thank you to all of you, we will remember this forever, and we have the photo's and video to prove it.
